There are many places to visit in Chennai like beaches, temples, church, planetarium, park etc. We travel to make our mind fresh after five days of work everyone needs a break. So everyone spend their time with family in weekend. They go for shopping, watch movie, or spend some quality time at home. Everyone must travel atleast once in a month. One of the best place to visit in Chennai is Marina beach. The biggest beach in Chennai that runs along the Bay of Bengal. There are many shops on the beach, many playing things for children. Many people came with their family to spend their weekend here. There is light house on the beach. There is also the memorial of Anna, Dr. MGR, Dr. Jaylalitha and Dr. Kalaingar, many people come to visit this places. During Ganesh Chaturthi, after the pooja of lord Ganesha is done on the 11th day the idol is immersed in the marina beach.
One can reach the beach by train, auto, and bus or by taxis. Some people travel by their own vehicles. The people travelling by train can take a train from Velachery and get down at lighthouse station, or Chennai beach station. Once you come out of the station you can see the beach and start walking towards the beach. The pleasant weather, the breezy air, the wave sounds will burst your stress in a minute.
The best time to visit the beach is in the evening after 4pm. This is the perfect time to visit the time because in the morning and afternoon there will be too much of heat and you will be tired. So visit in evening and you can see the sunset and enjoy till night.
